At Monarch Landscaping Inc., we are committed to delivering high-quality concrete workmanship for your residential or commercial project. Whether it’s a driveway, walkway, porch, patio, or garage floor, our goal is to provide lasting results and complete customer satisfaction.
We stand behind our work with a One-Year Limited Warranty on both materials and workmanship at no additional cost. This warranty is valid for one year from the date of project completion.
Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials under normal residential use.
However, concrete is subject to natural conditions and wear over time. Monarch Landscaping Inc. does not cover the following under this warranty:
- Damage caused by de-icing agents, chemicals, vehicles, or equipment
- Wear and tear, misuse, or abuse
- Ground movement or settlement
- Weather-related conditions such as frost heave or extreme temperature changes
- Natural disasters or accidents

What to Expect from Concrete
While we take every precaution to deliver long-lasting results, concrete is a natural and dynamic material. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Cracking
Concrete will crack—this is an industry-wide reality. While we install control joints to help manage cracking, there is no guarantee that cracks won't appear in other areas. Cracks less than 3/8" wide or displaced are considered normal and are not covered under this warranty.
Surface Flaking or Popping
Surface flaking or popping may occur, particularly in harsh weather conditions. This does not compromise the structural integrity of the concrete. Monarch Landscaping Inc. may repair or replace areas where 30% or more of the total surface is affected (driveway approaches excluded due to winter overspray). Repairs will be limited to affected areas only.
Settlement
Even though we compact the gravel base to a depth of 6–8 inches before pouring concrete, we cannot control subsurface conditions. Therefore, settling is not covered under this warranty.
Frost Heave & Weather-Related Cracking
Due to Southern Ontario’s freeze-thaw cycles, concrete may shift or crack during the winter months. These conditions are natural and not considered warranty issues.
Discolouration
Concrete color may vary between pours, especially if installed on different days. Existing surfaces will not match newly poured sections exactly.
Weather, curing time, and mix variations can also affect the final appearance. Monarch Landscaping Inc. cannot guarantee color consistency or an exact match to any existing concrete.
For long-term durability, we recommend proper maintenance, including avoiding the use of de-icing chemicals in the first winter and regular cleaning to prevent buildup of harmful substances.

Monarch Landscaping Sod Warranty

Standard Warranty (No Watering Service Purchased)
No warranty is provided on sod installations unless Monarch Landscaping is hired to perform the watering service.
Once installed, the homeowner/business owner is fully responsible for:
- Watering the sod as instructed
- Maintaining proper moisture levels
- Ensuring adequate sunlight conditions
- Protecting the sod from pets, foot traffic, lawn equipment, pests, and environmental stress
Premium Warranty (With Monarch Watering Service)
If you hire Monarch Landscaping to perform our 2-Week Watering Plan, we provide a limited 2-week warranty beginning the day the sod is installed.
This limited warranty covers:
- Sod that fails to root due to an installation error
- Sod that dies due to insufficient watering only if Monarch handled all watering
This limited warranty does NOT cover:
- Sod damage due to homeowner watering or lack of watering
- Sod lifted or damaged due to pets or wildlife
- Sod burned due to heat, drought, or watering outside recommended times
- Sod affected by irrigation system failure or incorrect homeowner adjustments
- Sod torn, displaced, or damaged by foot traffic, vehicles, or lawn equipment
- Sod damaged due to extreme weather events (heat waves, heavy rain, flooding, frost, etc.)
- Mushrooms appearing in sod
- Weeds appearing in sod
- Natural variations in sod colour during rooting
- Grubs, chinch bugs, pests, or disease after installation
Important Notes About Sod
Sod is a natural, agricultural product. Due to this, certain conditions are normal and not covered under any circumstance:
- Mushrooms appearing temporarily due to moisture
- Slight colour variations while the sod adjusts and roots
- Weeds that sprout post-installation (carried by wind, birds, rain, or soil from neighbouring properties)
- Burned edges or yellowing caused by heat or watering inconsistencies
- Settling, minor unevenness, or seam visibility during the rooting phase
Watering Responsibility
If Monarch is not hired for watering, the homeowner/business owner agrees to water the sod deeply and frequently following our care instructions. Failure to do so will result in sod decline, which is not warrantied.
Monarch Landscaping — 24-Month Fence Craftsmanship Warranty

Craftsmanship Warranty
Monarch Landscaping provides a 24-month (2-year) workmanship warranty on all fence installations, starting from the project completion date.
This warranty covers:
- Improper installation of posts
- Structural failure caused by workmanship errors
- Gates not functioning properly due to installation defects
If an issue arises that is determined to be the result of our workmanship, Monarch Landscaping will repair the affected area at no cost to the client.
Materials Disclaimer
Fence materials (including but not limited to pressure-treated wood, cedar, vinyl, metal, and hardware) are not covered under this workmanship warranty and are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
Natural characteristics of wood are not defects and are not covered, including:
- Warping, twisting, or shrinking
- Cracking or checking
- Knots, grain variation, or colour changes
- Weathering or fading due to sun exposure
Exclusions & Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by ground movement, frost heave, or soil conditions
- Damage caused by weather events, flooding, wind, or fallen objects
- Damage caused by pets, vehicles, landscaping equipment, or third parties
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance
- Any modifications or repairs performed by others
- Normal wear and tear over time
Gate sag caused by ground movement or post shifting due to soil conditions is excluded.
Warranty Conditions
To remain valid:
- The fence must not be altered, moved, or repaired by anyone other than Monarch Landscaping
- Payment must be made in full as per the contract terms
- Warranty claims must be reported in writing within the warranty period
Monarch Landscaping reserves the right to inspect the fence before approving any warranty claim.
Remedy Limitation
This warranty is limited solely to repair or replacement of the affected workmanship. It does not cover:
- Removal of landscaping, decks, interlock, or other structures
- Consequential or incidental damages
